Comprehensive Protection for the Modern Business Landscape
Generic security measures do not hold up against how attacks actually happen today. Whether you are a small medical practice in Missouri, a growing manufacturer in Central Illinois, or a larger organization in Chicago, your data and your ability to keep operating depend on more than an antivirus subscription.
Computerease provides a full, layered cybersecurity program designed by Certified Information Systems Security Professionals (CISSP), combining enterprise-grade tools with 24/7 human monitoring.

Computerease provides CISSP-led managed cybersecurity for businesses in Missouri and Illinois, from a turnkey program for small businesses with no internal IT team to co-managed security that layers onto an existing internal team. Services include 24/7 SOC monitoring, managed EDR, managed SIEM, managed firewall, secure remote access (SASE/ZTNA), Microsoft 365 monitoring, MFA, penetration testing, and compliance support for HIPAA, CMMC, SOC 2, and PCI. Everything is aligned to the CIS Critical Security Controls framework, so protection is built on a plan, not just a stack of tools.

Managed Cybersecurity That Fits Your Business
A local law firm and a multi-location manufacturer do not need the same security program. We structure our offerings around two starting points.
Our turnkey cybersecurity programs are designed for small and growing businesses that need strong protection without building an internal security team. We bring the essential layers of cybersecurity together into one managed program, including endpoint protection, email security, firewall management, MFA, secure backups, and 24/7 SOC monitoring.
Everything is managed as part of a coordinated security program rather than a collection of separate tools. We also help put the baseline security controls commonly requested by cyber insurers in place, so you have a clearer understanding of what is protected, what is being monitored, and who is responding when something needs attention.
Once you have a hundred or more computers, you likely have some internal IT presence, usually focused on keeping the lights on rather than hunting for threats around the clock. We act as a force multiplier: layering our security stack (SIEM, EDR, MDR, MXDR) onto your existing network, running a gap analysis against the CIS Controls to find blind spots, and guiding you through compliance documentation for CMMC, HIPAA, SOC 2, and PCI. Your team keeps handling the day-to-day; we handle the threat hunting and incident response.
Security is not about buying the most expensive product, it is about having a plan. We align our cybersecurity services with the Center for Internet Security (CIS) Critical Security Controls (v8.1), a globally recognized framework that prioritizes the actions that provide the most defense against the most common attacks. The framework is organized into three Implementation Groups, so the plan matches your actual size and risk profile rather than a one-size-fits-all checklist.
Aligning to this framework means you are building a mature, verifiable security program, not just installing antivirus. Following a recognized framework like CIS also helps businesses put many of the security controls commonly requested by cyber insurers into place.Â
employees trained to recognize phishing and social engineering, since they are as much a part of your defense as any tool.
regular reviews of your security posture to identify gaps and prioritize improvements.
24/7 protection for every device on your network, including remote and work-from-home devices.
a prepared, measured response plan for when a breach happens, so time and money are not lost figuring it out live.
encrypted email and filtering to catch phishing and spam before it reaches your team.
ongoing scanning to catch unpatched software and open ports before they get exploited.
guidance as privacy and industry requirements change, so you are not caught off guard.
executive-level security strategy and board-level reporting, without an executive salary.
Most businesses already have employees using ChatGPT, Copilot, or similar AI tools, often without any security review at all. That can mean company information being shared with unapproved tools, AI applications connected to business accounts with broader permissions than they need, or employees using AI without clear guidelines about what company or client information can and cannot be shared.
Securing AI starts with many of the same protections already used across the rest of your environment. MFA, appropriate access controls, Sentinel for Microsoft 365, SIEM monitoring, and clear AI usage policies all help reduce the risk. We fold AI-related access and activity into the same security program instead of treating AI as a separate, unmonitored category of risk.
Cybersecurity works best layered onto a stable IT foundation. Computerease also provides the rest of your technology under the same flat-rate, family-owned model.
A complete suite of managed security services, each aligned to a specific CIS Control, protecting every layer of your environment from the endpoint to the cloud.
Aligned to CIS Control 8, Audit Log Management. Your network generates millions of data points daily, and the signals of an attack are buried in that noise. We ingest, correlate, and analyze logs from every device, firewall, server, PC, and cloud app, 24/7, flagging anomalies like an unusual login location or a server transferring large volumes of data at 3 a.m. Most compliance standards (HIPAA, CMMC, PCI-DSS) also require log retention and review, which this handles.
Aligned to CIS Control 10, Malware Defenses. Traditional antivirus relies on recognizing known virus signatures, and modern attacks increasingly use fileless techniques that slip past it. Managed EDR watches behavior instead. If a process suddenly begins encrypting large numbers of files or exhibits other ransomware-like behavior, the system can kill the process or isolate the device automatically. It is often the last line of defense between a clicked link and a company-wide encryption event.
Aligned to CIS Control 17, Incident Response Management. Tools alone do not stop an attack, someone has to be watching them. Our SOC analysts monitor your environment around the clock, validate alerts, filter out false positives, and take immediate containment action, including isolating an infected machine, rather than just emailing you at 2 a.m. and waiting for a response.
Aligned to CIS Control 4, Secure Configuration of Enterprise Assets. A firewall that is not updated, patched, and actively monitored is a liability, not a protection. We manage configuration, patching, and rule sets, and with FaaS, hardware is included in your monthly fee so a costly upgrade never lands as a surprise. Misconfigured firewalls are one of the most common entry points for attackers.
Aligned to CIS Control 6, Access Control Management. Traditional VPNs grant broad network access once a user connects, which is risky for a workforce logging in from coffee shops and home offices. SASE and ZTNA verify both the user’s identity and their device’s health before granting access to specific applications, encrypting and scrutinizing the connection even on public Wi-Fi. This significantly reduces the risk created by stolen VPN credentials and limits how much of the network a compromised account can reach.Â
Aligned to CIS Control 3, Data Protection. Microsoft 365 is one of the most targeted platforms in the world, and most breaches start with a phishing email. This monitors your tenant for impossible-travel logins, suspicious forwarding rules (a hallmark of business email compromise), and mass file downloads, catching a compromised account before it is used to steal data or redirect a wire transfer.
Aligned to CIS Control 6, Access Control Management. If a business does nothing else, this is the single most effective control available: even a stolen password is not enough to get in without a second verification step. We deploy solutions like Duo Security or hardware keys like YubiKey, enforced across email, VPNs, and cloud apps. It is also now close to a mandatory requirement for cyber insurance, though it can still be circumvented, which is why 24/7 monitoring matters alongside it.
Aligned to CIS Control 18, Penetration Testing. The only way to know if your security actually works is to test it. We run external and internal penetration tests simulating real attacks, plus continuous vulnerability scanning for unpatched software and open ports. This is often a compliance requirement for CMMC and SOC 2, and some clients require it of their vendors directly.
For organizations with an internal IT department, we do not replace the team, we equip it. Your staff gets access to our enterprise tools (SIEM, EDR) and our SOC, with us absorbing the noise of daily alerts so your team can focus on strategic work, plus vCSO services for strategy and board-level reporting. It solves the talent shortage: a full team of specialists for less than the cost of hiring one junior analyst.
The Implementation Group that fits a five-person office does not fit that same business once it has fifty employees, a second location, or a new compliance requirement tied to a new client contract. Security posture is not a one-time purchase; it has to move with the business.
We reassess where you sit against the CIS Framework on a regular basis, not just at onboarding, so your program moves from IG1 toward IG2 or IG3 deliberately, as your risk profile actually changes, instead of leaving you protected for a business you no longer are.

I have been with Computerease for many years. They have a great team of I.T. techs, whether it is on the phone or coming to my office. They are fast and efficient.
We are a small business and have been a Computerease client for years. I highly recommend their services for large and small firms. Always extremely efficient with their response times and very knowledgeable on all things computers/systems!
I have to say, these guys and girls are the BEST! They are there for every question and issue, always with the perfect resolution. We reach out to them often just exploring options with our systems. Computerease always makes our lives easier! We love them!!
Deep knowledge of systems hardware, Microsoft OS and many software platforms. Very responsive when we have issues. Computerease never leaves us hanging. A true partner for a company like ours that does not have in-house IT support. I give them my highest recommendation.
Dan was incredibly kind, patient, and helpful — hands down the easiest laptop transition I’ve had in over 20 years! I was able to work all day while he handled everything, and he also got our conference room tech running smoothly. Everything feels easier and better than our old setup — the Computerease team is really good.
Cybersecurity is not really about the number of tools running in the background. It is about a leadership team that can answer a cyber insurance questionnaire honestly, and a business that keeps operating on the day someone clicks the wrong link, instead of losing a week to recovery.
Our goal is not to sell you the most alerts. It is to make sure a threat gets stopped before it becomes a headline, so you can focus on running the business instead of wondering whether the firewall is actually doing its job.
Cybersecurity is an ongoing effort, not a one-time purchase. Whether you need a turnkey solution for a small business or a strategic partner for a larger organization, we will show you exactly where you stand today.
Cost is not one-size-fits-all. We build affordable, scalable programs for businesses from one employee up to organizations with 1,000 users. The most accurate price comes from a quick, no-pressure call with our team.
Yes. Attackers use automated tools to find vulnerabilities, and business size does not matter to a script scanning for weaknesses. A single ransomware attack can be devastating regardless of headcount.
MSSP is our turnkey solution for businesses without a dedicated internal security team, we manage the entire program. Co-managed security is for organizations that already have IT staff, we act as an extension, filling gaps like 24/7 SOC monitoring or advanced compliance support.
Threats do not stop after business hours. A managed SOC means an expert team is always watching, without you having to hire and staff your own analysts.
SASE (Secure Access Service Edge) replaces a wide-open VPN tunnel with a secure, software-defined perimeter, granting remote users access only to the specific applications they need instead of the whole network.
We help you answer insurer questionnaires accurately, and our CISSP-designed programs are built to meet the requirements insurers actually look for, like MFA, EDR, and tested backups.
Yes, ongoing training on phishing and social engineering to reduce the human side of the risk.
Yes, from initial assessment through documentation and ongoing compliance monitoring.
Our 24x7x365 SOC responds immediately to contain, remediate, and recover, handling the technical response and helping with communication and reporting as needed.
Many small and medium businesses can be onboarded within days, depending on the services needed.
