New Business Phones From A Qualified St. Louis VoIP Provider

Advance Your Business With A New VoIP Business Phone System From A Qualified St. Louis VoIP Provider Changing phone systems is a huge undertaking! That is why many St. Louis area businesses still have traditional phone systems with high monthly bills.  The logistics and potential downtime involved with switching out a phone system for a business with 20 people can be is very complicated. Even switching out a traditional business phone system for a small business of only 6 people can be overwhelming for a St. Louis business owner looking to decrease their monthly costs. Why do St. Louis area businesses still have traditional phone systems? Also, there’s a certain amount of reliability and safety with the consistent performance of a wired telephone system. That reliability in service comes with the disadvantage of outdated technology and limited features. These limitations could mean that there are expensive monthly add-ons (like voicemail), a limited number of incoming call lines, and even limited caller ID. The outstanding monthly costs of the traditional business phone service, plus the maintenance of the phone systems, mean that most businesses are searching for a St. Louis VoIP provider to help them transition to a new business phone system. Advanced Business VoIP Phone System Features The latest features available on VoIP business phone systems are flexible enough to help your business adapt to every business working environment, especially remote work! All these features are available at a reduced monthly cost compared to your traditional business phone system. Accurate caller ID with full name identification Call transfer with custom hold messaging/music Standard voicemail and voicemail to email Unlimited toll-free numbers Find me/Follow me feature DID’s E911 Voice, text, and fax, across any device and any location Business messaging feature that allows you to text customers and clients Access to an integrated app marketplace for on-demand new features These advanced features are meant to scale up easily with your business and work wherever your team is working.  Don’t let the antiquated components of your traditional business phone system hold you back! How do you choose the best St. Louis VoIP provider to help make the transition? So, you’re ready to move your St. Louis business to a VoIP business phone system. Which phone system do you choose? More importantly, which VoIP phone provider do you choose? Option #1: You can buy a phone system directly from a VoIP phone company, but then you’re limited to only their phone system. Prepare NOW for a permanently altered business landscape

I recently participated in a video panel discussion titled, Advice from IT Company Owners on How to Keep Your Business Running and Productive During Uncertain Times. The final question of this panel discussion was the following: What encouragement can you offer your fellow small business owners? Here’s the video of my response. Also, here’s a summary of what I shared in the above video. Prepare and get ready NOW for the permanently altered business landscape Embrace the change. There is going to be a significant change in how business is done moving forward after this pandemic settles down. In the next few years, both technology and society will change dramatically. Things that people previously resisted were suddenly brought to the forefront. In addition to the permanent changes that have already taken place, and the additional changes we are facing imminently in our future, there is also light at the end of the tunnel. We’re in the thick of it right now, and it seems like it will never end. It will end, eventually, so we just have to get through and find creative ways to make it out the other side. In the meantime, we can prepare and get ready NOW for the permanently altered business landscape. There’s a saying that firemen don’t prepare to fight a fire when the fire starts. They spend all of their time off and all of their downtime training, getting ready, making sure all of their equipment is ready and waiting to be used. They’re got all of their tools and everything else ready to go. When the fire happens, they’re ready. So, right now, in your business, you have time. We have to be like the firemen and have out tools nice and neatly placed where they need to be. Have our business ready to go. When the economy gets unleashed again, when this pandemic is over, we’re all going to be ready to go.

How To Identify And Avoid SPAM Emails To Keep Your Business Safe

During a recent video panel discussion of IT company owners from throughout the country, panelists, including Ryan Haislar, President of Computerease, fielded the following question from the audience: “I see an increase spam. How can I verify that an email is real and why is my spam filter not catching the obvious spam emails?” You can watch this section of the video: And check out the full video of the panel discussion here: Click here Here’s a summary of the main highlights of the panelists’ answers to the question; “I see an increase spam. How can I verify that an email is real and why is my spam filter not catching the obvious spam emails?” When the COVID-19 outbreak first started happening, we heard from our IT support clients that they received an overabundance of  COVID-19 messages. And, a lot of SPAM emails were getting through SPAM filters. A lot of these emails really shouldn’t have gotten through. What we’ve been seeing across the board over past few weeks is that a lot more of these SPAM COVID-19 emails are getting blocked because the various SPAM filters are learning to recognize the signs of these novel SPAM emails. Even though more SPAM emails are getting caught by SPAM filters, cyber-attackers are still targeting everyone during these unprecedented times. We all need to be hyper-vigilant to spot these malicious emails. Going Back To The Basics With How To Identify SPAM Take a close look at the sender and the display name. Does the name match who it looks like is sending the email? Look for the red flags. Are they trying to urge you to do something right away? Are they asking for money? Is it wire transfer? Can you do a two-factor test by calling the person instead of just replying to the email? You need to be vigilant because people are trying to take advantage of the COVID-19 situation. In general, take a zero-trust approach to every email. Don’t trust anything. If there is a link of file attached, make sure you do confirm before you take any action at all. Be especially wary of emails that convey a sense of urgency – this is always like a dead giveaway of a scam. Anytime it’s something you HAVE to do right now, otherwise something really bad is going to happen. That is the number one giveaway that you need to stay away. Here’s a real-life example from one of the panelists. “Yesterday I received an email from a vendor with a new billing portal with a link to click. I called that vendor and said, ‘What’s going on with this link I received in an email?’ They did acknowledge that it was a legitimate link that they had sent out. When you’re trying to check the legitimacy of an email, make sure to verify outside of that email message. Don’t call the phone number in the email. Don’t visit the website in the email. Call a known phone number for that vendor/contact or do a Google search. Something that isn’t tied to that email!” Have you noticed an increase in SPAM? Do you have a SPAM filter in place? In either case, please make sure to be extremely cautious when going through your emails!
